The Cremation Center offers services of cremation and ashes’ scattering with respect to cultural and religious diversity.
In this context and in order to inform their citizens residing in Greece, officers from 8 embassies and consulates in Athens (USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands, France and Sweden) visited the Cremation Center at Ritsona and were shown its premises on February 2020.
On Saturday November 2nd 2019 captain Gregory Staras’ ashes were scattered in the Ionian Sea. Gregory Staras was a founding member of the Corfu sailing club.
His ashes were transferred by his favourite boat Cpt Camfon which was followed by a maritime procession of 16 boats with a number of sailors from all Clubs of the island.
The ceremony was held in accordance with the nautical etiquette, while the ash was scattered on the Ionian Sea by Alexandra’s daughter.
On September 30th we began our operations at Ritsona Crematorium, the first Crematorium in Greece.
